Yay or Nay for Bones Season 5 Finale?

How would you have written it? How did our version compare to the actual episode's ending? Thrilled or not? Does it make the hiatus seem longer now than you know? Be sure to leave some comments. We've got a summer of #BonesGraphicNovel fun planned out for you!

  1. pretty much the same, except at the end, when they both turned around, i would have stopped it there, leave us guess. and then i wouldn't have pulled a Stephen Nathan and NOT said anything about the time jump

  2. I'm actually everything but pleased. So many opportunities, and they won't use any of them. At least as far as we know by now. I'm also kind of angry about telling the viewers where the producers intend to pick up the story after the hiatus - it takes away the thrill.

About the end I'm ambivalent - I'm not sure whether or not it is more heartcrushing they way they put it. But I would have loved to see them hug - it's just necessary in such a situation. Not letting them do it is kind of strange.

  3. I think at this point and time, they are going to loose a lot of viewers! Bones spend a whole year with Daisy? Daisy and Sweets just call it quits, just like that? Angela and Hodgins leaving for a year too? Who is going to run the lab? Everybody just up and leave Cam and she's going to have a job for them all when they get back. Come on folks, lets make it a little more realistic here. And the cases? They aren't near as in depth and exciting as they use to be. The writers are trying to hard to do something that they arent' good at writing. I'm unsatisfied with this season, and if next season doesn't start off any better, I think they will loose a lot of viewers. The season finale was a bit boring and didn't really solve anything. They better step it up for next season. Bring back the Bones we have loved for the last 4 seasons. This year was a bust...

  4. The episode did lack. As the finale, wasn't special. Just interested in how they will pick up in Season 6.

  5. I totally agree with runawayisland & bk201.
This episode DID NOT feel like a finale. It was very boring. The whole thing really did suck. This is NOT going to get talked about for months. The conversation will consist of, "Oh, yeah, everyone left. That's it." You don't want finales to be like that!! You want them to be heart-stopping!! You want to be on the edge of your seat! You want to be able to talk about it for MONTHS!!! You should want to watch it OVER & OVER & OVER again!! This was NOT a season finale! Bones has gone downhill SOOOOO much over this last season, that it's NOT even CLOSE to the Bones I knew & loved. This is just turning into sh*t. Hart Hanson is a fu*king idiot! He's killing his "beloved" show. And, yes, I do believe they will loose a LOT of their viewers. And, NO, I'm NOT curious to see how season 6 will start off. I could care less at this point. The show is nothing but a disappointment now.

  6. mystery that's what i liked about the show & in the finale the forenics solutions were treated like ho hum. what happened to focus on the "bones"? lose the psychology sweets daisy & get a new anthropologist or lab assistant.

these last episodes were tired-maybe everyone really needs a year off. A better ending would have been the episode after they come out of sweets office & face off.

  7. nothing to add, totally agree. Weak cases, weak forensics and the weird romantic stuff.... not a good season at all.

  8. Agree, there were few good episodes this year. What can they do to new season interesting; everyone telling what they did for a whole year will be dull.

  9. After the 100th episode I expected Booth to emotionally pull away. He tried at the reunion but Bones pulled him back in. Then they are both rebound dating. I liked a couple things about the finale. When Daisy told Bones, they Booth and Bones were holding each other back, and when Booth couldn't look at Bones. Hand holding for the finale scene, for the couple with the best chemistry on tv.

  10. The final wasnt really a final. Where was the cliffhanger ending that would usually have us hanging on with anticipation until the next season starts????

I've liked the non-Booth/Brennan relationships this year, but the show is very lacking with the Booth/Brennan thing....its starting to get aggravating more than keeping my interest.

I really hope the next season picks up....I want the old Bones back (circa seasons 1 through to 4). We need kickass cases and forensics and inter-character relationships that dont make me grimace whenever they're on screen together.

Bones is a brilliant show and I've loved it since day one....but this season seems like the writers took the year off and got their assistants to do their jobs for them.

Pick up your game and bring back the AWESOMENESS of Bones.

  12. I admit this season was a little lagging, it just didn't have that spark that the previous seasons had before. Though I thought there were a couple really good episodes, so it wasn't too bad. Really, I wasn't all too happy with how season 5 ended, it was just a little too depressing and it seemed kind of rushed. But I guess that's why I can't wait for the next season, to see if the writers can come up with something much better, like the old show we all know and love.
